A family-owned HVAC company operating in a competitive desert market. They’d been in business for several years, had real customers, and did solid work. But when someone searched for AC repair in their city, they were nowhere to be found. Page 3. No map pack presence. Zero LSA visibility.
What I Found
I ran the business through a full local search audit. Here’s what the data showed:
- Google Business Profile was incomplete with missing services, no business description, outdated photos
- PageSpeed score of 30 out of 100. This site was taking nearly 10 seconds to load on mobile
- Domain Rating of 6. It had almost no authoritative backlinks pointing to the site
- NAP inconsistencies across major directories including name, address, and phone number listed differently on different platforms
- No Local Service Ads presence despite being in a market where competitors were running them
What I Recommended
I put together a prioritized action list based on what would move the needle fastest:
- Complete and optimize the Google Business Profile with categories, services, description, photos, Q&A
- Fix NAP inconsistencies across all major directories
- Address critical PageSpeed due to issues with image compression, caching, render-blocking scripts
